Mr. Blessington was bitten on the neck by Sapo and passed out back in Julio de Bargos. While Chino saw what happened in the news of Salazar's death and the huge bite. Chino remembered the same thing he did when he was in elementary school. The English teacher Mr. Blessington was mistreating his students, Sapo left the room for not handling mr Blessington’s actions, until Mr. Blessington started to be violent on stopping Sapo leaving the room.Sapo bit Mr. Blessington’s neck and ripped off his flesh when he has after Blanca for getting help from the teachers. For example, “Blanca and her friend Lucy started to run out of the room to get the teacher next door. Blessington released Sapo and went after Blanca. And that’s when Sapo jumped him from behind..Before B;essington could shake Sapo free, Sapo dug his teeth in to the base of the teacher’s neck. Blessington screamed; the blood spurted out, running down his back and staining his white shirt collar crimson.”(91) This shows that Mr. Blessington had it coming because he wouldn't stop mistreating his students, just because their Hispanic. It always been that, but with Sapo’s way of protecting himself from Mr. Blessington he went on biting his neck for protection, not only for himself but for the others.
