nazario had plenty of reasons why but the main reason was beecause he wanted the money and power so to do this nazario would have to kill bodega and he did at the cover of the night. "bodega's death would it would have left nazario with everything" (bd pg 210). this shows that the reason nazario will kill bodega was because ther would be a big amount of benifits with his death.
Why Chino decide to make a plan to arrest Nazario?
After what happen Negra told Chino that it was Nazario behind all the things that happen. Than Chino wanted to get revenged against Nazario. After Negra told Chino the truth about Vera and Nazario, Chino decide to call Ortiz and DeJesus and they made a plan to arrest Nazario. At the Funeral Chino and Nazario starded talking. Than Chino told Nazario that he knows everything. So than Nazario told Chino everything he plan since the beginning. After that Chino told Nazario that he betrayed everything that Bodega did for those people who needed help. Than Nazario didn't know that Ortiz and DeJesus were behind him, and than Ortiz and DeJesus tapped his shoulder and arrested him and Vera and Nene also got arrested. In this Quote Chino say's, "You betrayed all those beautiful things." (209) In this quote, it shows how Chino told Nazario that he betrayed all those things that Bodega did for those people in the neighborhood. on the other hand Chino plan something that could send Nazario to jail. So than when Chino was taking to Nazario, Nazario didn't know that Ortiz and DeJesus were behind him, so than Ortiz and DeJesus tapped Nazario shoulder and arrested him.
After Blanca leaving Vhino from his problems, Sapo told Chino that Vidal was waiting for him in a restaurant, Chino goes and meets him. After meeting each other they talked about Vera, Bodega and Vera come. Vidal and Bodega start to argue what Vera has done when she was Vidal, which didn’t sound very good. Vera quickly shoot him to shut up. After the shot, Chino had to leave the restaurant for Bodega to fix the problem. The next day he was dead. For example, “Hey, Willie’ I Said as I was about to walk out the door. ‘I think you’re worth all the souls in hell. Thass thousands of more souls there are in heaven. So you’re worth a lot, Pana’. He laughed a short laugh...telling Bodega that he was worth all souls in hell was the only compliment..the next day, Bodega was dead.”(193). Since Vera had a gun with her, she could have definitely killed Bodega for his money or maybe a double cross. Vera had ideas up her sleeves, maybe she didn’t want anything from Bodega, she was probably in love with Nazario the whole time.
